“I would have left but the Booking reservation is non refundable. Will book directly in future.”

I chose this motel because of the later check‑in time and its proximity to the ferry terminal; the mattress was not bad for comfort and the bathroom/bathtub were clean, but check‑in took a long time because the staff member couldn’t figure out how to print the check‑in form, the room smelled strongly of stale cigarette smoke, the bedding cover is polyester, the air conditioner is portable, and the fridge is very noisy, running often.

“For one night or two is fine with family or partner, otherwise better if single occupant.”

The staff were excellent, accommodating and friendly from the start, and the man at the front was very kind and willing to listen; I also think the price is fair for what it is at this location, but the bed was too soft and sunken, not comfortable, and the walls are thin so you can hear the next room when they shower or organize things.

“Never again”

I was glad to be close to the places I wanted to see, but the hotel charged me thirty dollars for a late arrival after the ferry ran into trouble, which ruined an already bad day.
