Enchanted Forest Dome – 10-15 min to Kings Canyon

“An awesome destination for travel into Kings Canyon and Sequoia National Park.”

We stayed at Enchanted Forest Dome for two weeks and it was our top pick. The dome had more gear than we expected, and the tiny kitchen made prepping for the next day a breeze. An outdoor kitchen was also available for extra cooking. The bed was incredibly comfy. We enjoyed sitting outside on the deck, watching wildlife, and even had a hammock. The hosts were very precise in their messages, which was essential for finding the spot. I strongly recommend this place for anyone wanting a great stay near the National Parks.

“Unique vibes.”

The vibe here was unique and the location works well for Sequoia National Park. Everything was very clean. The pod was cozy and warm, and the trailer bathroom was great. Parking for pod 3 under a tree isn’t ideal; branches fell on the car below, scratching it and triggering the alarm several times at night. Parking on the flatter ground near pods 1 and 2 would be better. The entrance road could use improvement; we managed to get a Ford Mustang up, but it requires careful driving and isn’t ideal at night.

“Une nuit près de Kings Canyon National Park”

The dome was well equipped with a coffee maker, microwave, fridge, dishes, heating, and reversible AC. The private bathroom was outside. The location is less than 20 min from the entrance of Kings Canyon National Park, very quiet with a beautiful star view from outside. The view from our dome faced the forest, pretty but we’d have preferred the valley view like the other two domes. The dome roof, supposed to be transparent, was covered to keep heat out, so we couldn’t see the stars from the bed. An electrical system to cover or uncover the roof would help. Directions to the dome are clear, but the path is worn and would benefit from widening. We had to back up while climbing on arrival because someone was leaving. I suggest arriving before nightfall.

The place was great and the experience was awesome! The arrival instructions were clear and the spot itself is fantastic. We didn’t want to leave!!!

“Heerlijk verblijf in koepeltent aan de voet van Sequoia en Kings Canyon NP”

The large canvas tent with its own balcony was beautiful. The kitchen was excellent, fully equipped, and had a big fridge. A water dispenser was also available in the central kitchen. The bathroom was clean and fine. We had a very pleasant stay! The road to the upper level was in bad condition in some spots, but if you drive calmly you can get up with a normal car.
