If you want accommodation in Beijing that feels distinctly Chinese rather than a generic international brand, this place is excellent in every way; the staff are super helpful, knowledgeable and very kind, and there is nothing to complain about.

The staff were very friendly, kind and extremely helpful, all English speakers, the hutong location is fantastic, the room was large, calm and spotless, and the meals were excellent.

The hotel sits in a superb spot where we could see the Drum and Bell Towers from the rooftop, the staff were very helpful and happy to give recommendations, but it is a bit pricey during the high season, which is probably to be expected.
