The Oceanica Bohol offers a dreamy beach escape, complete with a private beach, pool, and hanging lounge chairs that keep the setting super secluded and quiet. The sea is literally right outside, so spotting starfish and sea urchins near the shore is effortless. No rushed tours are necessary here, and there’s plenty to do: tennis, kayaking, table tennis, pool games, beach spa, and even a tiny farm.

The rooms were beautiful and very close to the beach, and the bed was very comfortable. However, they ran out of water and honey, and after a few days the refrigerator stopped working.

1. For cigarette smokers (including Iqos) it will be a bit hard; there is only one dedicated area near the beach, which is the same situation throughout the country. 2. In the kitchen, many items are pork or pork‑mixed in the restaurants and breakfast.

The location is dreamy, and the breakfast buffet is great. I had a “room with pool view,” which was somewhat misleading because the whole garden area around the pool is labeled that way, even though you actually have no view of the pool.
