“Absolute disaster.”
We arrived late in the evening and were very tired. The reception was not welcoming at all – there was no smile or friendly greeting. We were given a key card for room 138, but the card did not work. We went back to reception, where they gave us another card. This one also did not open the door. We then discovered that there were already guests staying in the room. In other words, we had actually been given a room that was already occupied, and we disturbed the guests in the middle of the night. It was an extremely unpleasant and uncomfortable situation, especially after a long and tiring journey. We were given a new suite, where we experienced another shock in the bathroom. There was pubic hair in the sink and in the bathtub, and hair all over the floor. One of the towels had clearly not been replaced and was covered in brown footprints. We have honestly never experienced anything like this before. The following day, we went to reception, explained the situation, and at least asked them to replace the towels. There was a young man at the reception who said he would take care of it. Unfortunately, when we returned to the hotel that evening, the towels had still not been replaced. Breakfast was another disappointing experience. There was practically no staff present, and there was no one to clear or wipe the tables after guests. We had to take a napkin and some water ourselves and clean the table so that we could sit down and eat. We only saw one woman working inside the kitchen preparing the food. I assume she simply could not manage everything on her own. Overall, the level of cleanliness, service and organisation was extremely disappointing and far below what we would expect from a hotel. This clearly reflects both inadequately trained reception staff and inadequately trained housekeeping staff. We have travelled extensively and stayed in many different hotels, but we have never experienced anything like this before
