The room was wonderfully comfortable, the staff courteous, the canal just outside the room, and the food excellent.

The hotel and restaurant are lovely, situated by the Union Canal. The room was cozy, and extras were added when requested. Breakfast offered cold items and a full menu, and the Eggs Benedict were delicious. The restaurant’s Beef and Chicken Burgers were tasty too, and the evening entertainment was great. The staff were friendly and helpful.

The room was a bit tight but spotlessly clean and cozy, and the airport was just a short hop away. I had booked through a third‑party site, so breakfast wasn’t on the bill. When I tried to add it, the price was steep. An email later told me that if I’d booked directly the breakfast would have been included, and that I could call a number for help. I called, but the staff said nothing could be done. That email felt pointless and honestly annoying.

We thought the price was too high for a small room, with bad sheets and pillows, and although the place was clean, the noise was the biggest issue. People were moving furniture past midnight, and we had to wake up at 4 am! We barely slept and paid the most expensive rate of our trip, which was ridiculous, especially considering the dinner cost. The location, however, was great—beautiful village by the river, nice walks along the riverbank among trees, and it’s only 7‑10 minutes from the airport, handy for early flights.
