This B&B was a total find! Valentina’s eye for detail shows everywhere—from the chic decor to the stocked fridge full of fruit, yogurts, drinks, and even cakes and snacks that made us feel right at home. The balcony views are breathtaking; you could sit there for hours. Pro tip: set your alarm early at least once—watching the sunrise from the balcony is worth it. If you’re taking the train from Rome like we did, remember there’s a steep hike up the hill from the station to the B&B, but it’s still worth it. We absolutely loved it!

The location in Castel Gandolfo (2 minutes from the Apostolic Palace), the balcony view of Lake Albaner, the hostess’s friendliness, the loving decor, and the well-equipped apartment—all great. The fridge was stocked with fruit, drinks, yogurt, etc.

We had a wonderful stay at B&B Carpe Diem vista lago. The location is great, the room is comfortable, breakfast and snacks are generous, and the host is helpful. Valentina put a lot of thought into making sure we had everything we might need and gave us plenty of local tips. The area is lively and the view is beautiful. Everything suited the three of us for a short stay. You can park for free down the hill (5‑10 minutes walk) but it’s best to drop off heavy luggage before parking; Valentina will advise.

Carpe Diem was a beautiful apartment overlooking the lake. Very well appointed and extremely generous extras for our enjoyment - juices, water, fruit, local bakery items including biscuits, tarts, pikelets, jams and yoghurts. Valentina, our host was very welcoming and helpful. The location at Castel Gandolfo was a quiet and peaceful village less than 1 hour from Rome. Lots of restaurants and bars that also gave us options to enjoy the local cuisine and panorama. Highly recommend this apartment to fellow travelers
