“not recommended.”
The neighborhood is decent and close to many good spots, about a 15‑minute walk from the station. The listing didn’t make it obvious that the space isn’t private; the bedroom is part of the host’s apartment, and the private bathroom is shared via the corridor that’s the entrance for both the host’s and the guests’ rooms. At 8 am, after a late check‑in with a lockbox and only a few instructions given on the day of arrival, the host walked into our bedroom and bathroom while we were getting dressed. She wanted to make sure we had paid the tax money she’d sent a message about a few minutes earlier. That was the only in‑person encounter with the host, and it was unfortunate. The bathroom was clean, with a tub, hand‑shower, and plenty of space. The bedroom was a good size but a bit musty, and the bed was old and lumpy. Verona doesn’t have many reasonable hotel options, so it’s worth aiming for a nicer experience if you can.
