The staff were very kind and helpful. The toilet seat lid wouldn’t stay up and the hinges had come loose.

“Great room, location, staff! Perfect stay.”

The pub is lovely, the room is very nice and spacious, and the staff went above and beyond to help. Breakfast was delicious, all made from locally sourced ingredients at The Buxton, just 2 minutes up the road— the pastries are huge! The welcome drinks were a nice touch. The location is perfect, right on the edge of Shoreditch/Whitechapel, very close to transport links and many nice pubs and restaurants. I’ll definitely book again next time I’m in London. Nothing to complain about— I just wish I’d known this pub had rooms on my previous visits to London!

“Friendly and warm welcome to a great location, comfy bed, clean room and pleasant atmosphere.”

The staff greeted us politely and were very helpful upon arrival. The rooms matched the photos exactly—clean, tidy, and spacious with a comfortable bed, though the pillows were a bit too high for my taste. Noise from the road was minimal, only occasional sirens. A free drink on arrival was a nice touch, and the pub downstairs had a cool, pleasant vibe with a well-stocked bar and good seating. Breakfast was included, which made the stay cheaper, but I didn’t realize it was a 2‑minute walk to a sister hotel. I would definitely return. However, I should warn future guests that breakfast isn’t actually in the hotel; it’s a couple of minutes away. Once there, the selection was limited, but the staff were great. There was no hint that the hotel sits above a pub, which might deter some from booking too late.

“Nice room but improvable”

The location, environment, and staff were all nice. The downside was a hole in the wall and likely some mould caused by leaks.
