At Armando's Home

I had a really pleasant stay at this B&B: the property is clean, welcoming, and meticulously cared for. The room was comfortable, quiet, and fully equipped for a relaxing visit. The location is excellent, easy to reach key sights, and well served by transport. Breakfast was varied and tasty, featuring fresh, high‑quality items. The real highlight was the host, a kind, helpful, and always ready to give useful tips on what to see and where to eat. You can feel the passion and attention to guests. I strongly recommend this B&B to anyone looking for comfort, courtesy, and a family‑like atmosphere, and I’ll definitely return!

“Super accueil d’Armando”

The welcome and friendliness of Armando made for a pleasure to chat with him. A must‑stop for visiting Etna, plus a nice breakfast.

“Nice property, not so nice host”

The only thing good about the property was the fact that the bathroom seemed well equipped, and it was private with nobody being able enter our area of the house. Edit to the review: I'm adding this explanation here because of the property owner's response. I wasn't the one to bring up the fact that he turned down my request for refund. He has every right to refuse that demand, but he can't make the assumption that i was bitter and left a bad review because of this. Response to the property owner: Your response to my review shows what kind of host and person YOU are. Instead of learning from the feedback and thinking about what you could improve for future guests, you immediately went on an attack at my character. We were respectful from the very start, and i don't know where this claim that we were disrespectful is coming from. Good luck with this attitude you have. The host was the biggest problem. We're actually surprised by the praises he received here because our experience was the total opposite. Maybe he was upset because the volcano's activity disrupted his business but from the first moment we arrived at the property, he seemed to be grumpy. We were naturally anxious about Etna's activity and the fact that the town was totally empty, so we asked him if it was safe to stay there. He dodged our questions, gave patronizing answers and had an overall attitude that felt like he was talking down to us. He had too many rules, kitchen usage restricted to only certain hours, washing machine can be used but only operated by him, dishes need to be washed and dried, etc. It didn't feel like we were paying customers but more like the free guests of an upset landlord. He also didn't seem to have a concept of private space, kept knocking our window or shouting through the door with whatever he needed to say. We actually ended up staying there only 1 night instead of 4, mainly because my friend concerned about the volcano being that close. But he was definitely a motivating factor for why we switched reservations as well because he made us feel so on edge the whole time

“Pace, relax e ospitalità”

Everything was perfect, clean, and nothing was missing, but most importantly the owner, Mr. Armando, was kind. We’ll definitely go back to that area and stay there again.
