“Ci aspettavamo di meglio...”

The central spot, the building and the room – very spacious, high ceilings and nice furnishings – were great, but the initial reception, cleanliness, lack of maintenance and the breakfast were disappointing. We stayed only one night for a wedding, needed rest after the trip and tight prep times, and the reception was empty shortly after we arrived, so we couldn’t point out the issues. Discussing them the next morning seemed pointless. In hindsight, given the experience, we think a refund would have been justified.

The staff were very friendly. The room was cozy and clean, and the bathroom was large and well-equipped. We had hoped the breakfast would be better, especially since the property has a gelateria on the ground floor, and the bed was not that comfortable.

The location in Caserta’s historic centre was good, we could leave the car in the square in front of the hotel for the night (we arrived at 21:00), and in the room we found a portable air‑con and a fan already on. Getting there wasn’t very easy, the directions were not always clear, and we needed the staff’s phone help.
