We stayed a couple nights before our flight, took a 45‑minute bus to Venice, and Rosa’s husband gave us a lift to the bus stop; when we returned we walked the short distance back. The homemade meals were exceptional, though they cost extra. The room was comfortable and close to the airport. We didn’t use the pool but checked it out; it was clean and inviting. I can’t think of anything I didn’t like.

We had to find lodging on short notice due to a flight cancellation, and Rosa and her husband welcomed us very hospitably. The room was very clean, the breakfast was lovingly prepared, and we felt very comfortable.

Just a short walk from the airport, which was the main draw for us, this old farmhouse on the outskirts of town feels like a hidden gem that needs a bit of love. The couple running it are friendly but clearly swamped with maintenance tasks—something we know well from running our own BnB. The place still has a lot of cleaning to do across the big grounds, and the exterior looked a bit rundown when we first arrived, giving us a nervous first impression. The reception area had a similar worn vibe, but once inside our room it was tidy and comfortable. The large, clean pool in the tropical garden would have been a treat on a warmer day, and the simple breakfast set us up nicely for the next morning’s departure.
