Room and pool were very good. Not enough sunbeds on a nice sunny day and when asked staff not bothered. Hot tubs were not on, as wood fired and water was freezing no staff sorted this out. We went for dinner and the view was amazing and the staff were great.we had a starter but then over 1 hour for main and it was too late so ruined the evening slightly. Will not return as not up to the standards that this hotel should be

The laundry could be better. The bedding had an odor. Laundry, corridor cleanliness, and paint chips everywhere were also problems.

We were thrilled by everything at the Retreat, from the lush gardens to the tasty meals, but the real highlight was the staff—especially Lucy, who spent days with us in the dining room, and the reception ladies who made our daughter’s wedding day unforgettable. The spa team, notably the beauticians, were also outstanding. I can’t recommend this hotel highly enough. The only thing I wish for is a salad at the buffet breakfast. 😊

The beds were incredibly comfortable, the breakfast was top notch, the restaurant food was delicious, and the spa was divine! Nothing else to add.
