Baia Lara Hotel

It’s my second stay at the hotel and it’s still great. The location is excellent, the beach is good, the food is tasty, the rooms are cozy, and the mattress and pillows are comfortable.

The room turned out to be larger than I expected, and the staff were very friendly. We visited in the off‑season, so there were plenty of sunbeds at the pool and on the beach. The food was delicious with a lot of variety. The only complaints were that there were no hooks in the bathroom to hang towels, the shower drain was clogged so you had to watch for overflow, and the public bathrooms were like those at an airport.

The buffet offered a wide variety of beautiful dishes and drinks, all at the premium level, though the grilled items could have been handled with more care.

The location by the beach, the many restaurants, and the lack of crowds made it easy to enjoy the pool suitable for all ages; staff were present around the clock, and mornings and nights felt safe. However, the reception staff could be friendlier and better explain the hotel’s amenities, the main restaurant’s food was good but the fish and meat were consistently dry and overcooked, making them inedible, while the vegetarian dishes and salads were excellent and the beachside restaurant was much better.
