Located at 2,100 metres above sea level in a forest, the Grand Hôtel & Kurhaus offers panoramic views of Arolla and the Valais Alps. En-suite rooms feature traditional Alpine decor with wooden furniture. The hotel is steps from ski lifts and slopes, and serves Swiss cuisine and Valais specialties in its restaurant. The location was dreamy, a perfect spot after a long hike, and I’d return anytime; dinner and breakfast were very tasty.

The Grand Hotel Kurhaus looks stunning in its classic style, and the staff are kind and helpful. The grounds are lovely, featuring a spacious lawn where you can unwind and take in the scenery. My room was comfy and fully equipped. Dining was excellent.
