The place was solid overall. Everyone on the team was super friendly and quick to help whenever we asked for something. The rooms were clean, we had a fridge and freezer, and the private bathroom with AC was perfect for the temperature swings in Mardel. The only thing that would have made it better is a TV in the room—there was one at the reception area for breakfast, but a personal one would be nice after a busy day.

I really appreciated the warm welcome, especially from Mateo who handled the morning check‑ins with a smile. The location is spot‑on, close to everything, and the rooms come with air conditioning which is a big plus. The beds are comfy. I was hoping for a breakfast option and a clearer view—sometimes you can’t tell if it’s day or night outside. The bathroom is tiny, so you have to be careful when opening the door.

The hostel’s location and the receptionist Mateo’s help were the only positives. Unfortunately, the kitchen and freezer weren’t available, and we weren’t told about that when we booked. All we could do was make tea or use a microwave for outside food. Other guests complained about the showers and the hot water, and my room was damp. Overall, not a great stay.
