“Average at best!”
The place was quiet and the breakfast was decent, but everything felt very dated and nothing special.

The hotel grounds are beautifully laid out—a little paradise. There’s a large pool and four small whirlpools. The rooms are spacious and include a fridge. Everything was tidy and clean, and we felt very comfortable. The beds were comfortable. Breakfast was fine. There should be more places to hang clothes, and the bathroom had too few towel hooks.

The hotel’s space and surroundings are great, with a free path inside that runs alongside a clean river. The staff are spotless in rooms, dining, reception, and gardens. Some rooms offer views of volcano Arenal and you can spot birds. There’s a nature spa where you can pay for massages and cosmetic treatments. Special thanks to Ashley at reception, Mauricio and Jeferson at breakfast, the hotel restaurant, and the pool bar—friendly, calm, and efficient. Housekeeping and garden/pool maintenance were also excellent. The pool is in a very relaxing setting, surrounded by plants and four warm Jacuzzis, perfect after a hike around the hotel. Open from 8 am to 9 pm. A car ride of ten minutes takes you to Fortuna, which has many restaurants, supermarkets, and shops, even a bank for currency exchange. The room Wi‑Fi was almost non‑existent; they explained that a recent storm damaged the network and it’s still being repaired. You can connect to Wi‑Fi from reception, but there’s no comfortable seating area with sofas or chairs.

The staff are great and the location works well. There’s no Wi‑Fi in the rooms. The hot tubs were lukewarm, dirty, or off, and there wasn’t enough seating around the pool. Breakfast was fine. Also, the windows have no screens and have large gaps.

The room, closet, and bathroom were very large and comfortable. We had some problems with the Wi‑Fi connection.
