I can't thank Johan enough for everything he did; I really feel like I gained a friend. The whole place feels like pure peace and calm. Mogly. There’s nothing negative, just imagine you’re heading into the jungle—feel lucky and enjoy the experience.

The cabins, shelters, and hot springs are rustic and soothing, and the view from the lodge across the river is simply idyllic. The host picked us up from Shintuya and cooked breakfast and lunch for a modest fee. No complaints about the lodge itself, but if you’re used to resort‑style hotels, look elsewhere. Mosquitoes can be annoying if you let them, though the nets over the beds work well.

The comfort of the place, the hot water that’s available at any time, is amazing; by day you hear the birds, and at night you see stars and fireflies while you bathe. You can walk to the waterfalls and also bathe there, and the host was very attentive to everything we needed.

A great experience staying with Jhohan by the Madre de Dios river. The hot spring is very beautiful and relaxing, and the waterfall is wonderful!
