We appreciated the friendly staff, spotless rooms, and the view of the Mekong from the roof. Our room was on the 3rd floor, with the 1st floor at street level (ground in NZ); the team carried our luggage up because there’s no elevator. The air‑con was quiet, the bed comfortable, and the shower excellent. A walk along the river across the road was lovely. Breakfast came from a small menu that suited us, and there are a few eateries nearby. The hotel was a bit farther from town than we expected, but a Grab or tuktuk can cover the short distance. The night market, about 700 m away, offers great food, live entertainment, and stalls.
