I could use a washer and dryer if I paid extra, and the hotel sits right off the main road so the location works. But the staff handed over the room I’d booked five months ahead, claiming it was a third‑party error, and then told me they weren’t obligated to honor that reservation. I showed them my printed confirmation and asked for proof, but they couldn’t provide it—clearly they were lying. I’ve booked worldwide and never seen a room given away like this; the room they gave me belonged to someone named Jessica, as the TV said “Welcome Jessica.” We couldn’t switch rooms because they were sold out. The air conditioning made a dying noise and never cooled properly throughout our stay, and rooms were only cleaned every other day— I discovered this when I returned to a dirty room after a full day away. Marriott is my favorite chain, with stays from Los Angeles to Chicago, but this location was the worst; I can’t believe they put the Marriott name on it and should remove it for not meeting standards.
