“mixed”
The rooms 2911 and 2311 at Arkisha’s were a mixed bag. Room 2911 had a clean bathroom with a bidet and digital heater, but no soap or shampoo. The kitchen was fully equipped: sink, hand soap, a small fridge with an ice cube tray, microwave, kettle, rice cooker, plates, mugs, and utensils. Netflix was available on the TV, and the internet was solid, only dropping once during our 6‑day stay. The view of EDSA was great. Room 2311 felt better for sleeping, with a nicer bed and pillows, and it included soap, shampoo, toothpaste, and a larger fridge, though still smaller than usual. Both rooms shared the same AC, kitchen amenities, and view, and the main door had a proper doorknob that locks, though there were no internal locks like in 2911.
The bed in 2911 was hard, with metal springs that poked me while I slept, making it hard to get a good night’s rest, so I didn’t think the cheap price was worth it. The pillows were large and hard, causing neck pain in any position. The window‑type AC was strong and cold but noisy, and it’s analog, so you have to adjust it manually. We found baby cockroaches, and other reviews mention more pests, possibly coming from outside or other rooms. Inside the main door, there are at least three locks, but the external doorknob is broken; turning it clockwise locks it, counterclockwise opens it. Talking to the owner about this was tough because of scheduling conflicts. They offered a transfer to another unit, but we declined due to time constraints. Check the lock when you check in. In 2311, the TV had trouble playing Netflix, unlike 2911, but we found other distractions. The shower heater was analog, requiring adjustments for a comfortable temperature. The internet was down from October 4 at 5 PM until checkout on October 6 at noon; the owner said a repairman was supposed to fix it, but we weren’t there, so it seems a building‑wide issue. If you need to work, be ready for possible connectivity problems. There were more baby cockroaches in 2311 than in 2911—at least six times more, so choose your poison, I guess.
