Castle Hotel

The food was good, the location convenient, and the staff were always friendly and helpful, but the bathroom in our room was tiny—so small you had to sit on the toilet at an angle, then swivel to the right orientation, and your nose was almost touching the towel on the rail opposite the toilet. It may sound trivial, but we asked about it.

I liked the history and decor of the property, and the staff responded to my needs and questions; breakfast was included, delicious, with both continental and traditional Irish options; the vaults had live music and a convenient bar; the room was quiet and larger than expected. The Wi‑Fi at the property didn’t connect consistently to my room, constantly shutting off so I had to use my phone data; it seemed to work better on the first floor and basement. The area around the hotel was further from the main bar, shopping areas, and public stops, and it felt a little sketchy at night with some people on the street drinking or sleeping, but they didn’t bother anyone too much.

“Great stass”

The location was great, we could store luggage securely when we arrived early, the staff were very friendly and helpful, breakfast was included, and there were lovely small lounges around the hotel.

The hotel is comfortable with an old‑world charm, and the location is truly perfect for walking around Dublin.
