The team were delightful, always attentive and efficient, going well beyond their duties; we enjoyed wonderful days swimming in the delta, bird‑watching in the mangrove, strolling through the village and tasting inventive, tasty dishes served exquisitely in the garden, loved that the place supports local development by funding health projects and asks guests to cut back on running water and plastic just as they do, and the canoe and cart tours with Mar Lodj locals were fascinating—big thanks to Babacar, Justin and the whole Bazouk crew.

“Inoubliable !”

Personnel aux petits soins et d'une extrême gentillesse, repas exquis (J'ai adoré les repas dixit notre fils de 9 ans). Bungalow bordés d'arbres colorés qui s'intègrent parfaitement à la végétation luxuriante de l'île et épouse aussi sa philosophie (pas de plastique.). Nous avons passé 3 jours merveilleux dans ce lieu de quiétude où tout a été pensé : jeux de société, pétanque, ping-pong, exploration des mangroves en kayak, excursion pour observer les oiseaux avec un guide hors pair, baignade au cœur d'une nature reine qui invite aussi à l'humilité. Rien à signaler.

Everything about the place was both great and disappointing at the same time.

The location was stunning, the staff were incredibly friendly, the food was unbelievably tasty, and we could borrow kayaks for free; however, the room had no air‑conditioning and only a fan in July, which is the start of the rainy season, so it was definitely too hot.

Siamo venuti a metà giugno. Prima tappa dal Gambia del nostro viaggio zaino in spalla per il Senegal, su consiglio di amici. Posto splendido, unici turisti, siamo stati coccolati. Le escursioni sono carine ma in due il prezzo era un po' alto per le nostre risorse (é standard per 4 persone ed essendo gli unici non c'era nessuno con cui condividere) ma ci siamo comunque concessi qualcosa. Personale molto gentile. Molto consigliato.
