The surroundings were stunning and the Alpine‑style rooms felt roomy, with a terrace that offered a gorgeous mountain view; the included Sommercard saved us a lot on lifts and transport, though the breakfast was just okay. We ran into a few issues with the housekeeper—our fridge got switched off after breakfast for no clear reason, and the owner barged into our room at 9:54 am, a couple of minutes before the 10 am checkout, and loudly reminded us of the checkout time.

After a short private road that only guests can use, we found a quiet, lovingly run pension with a very friendly host who served a great breakfast and a tasty dinner each evening. Our tidy upstairs room had a spectacular view of the Dachstein, and the area offers endless hiking and day‑trip options; the kids loved the animal‑filled yard with no traffic at all. We’re already planning to return.

This family‑run place felt warm and welcoming, with a great location and staff who were always helpful and friendly. We’d definitely stay here again.

The breakfast was top‑notch, and although the hotel is a bit tucked away, it’s set in a quiet, picturesque spot right next to the Rittisberg ski lifts. A perfect base for a relaxed ski holiday.
