Breakfast was decent, but the location left a lot to be desired – we had to trek about 20 minutes on a dirt road to get to the main town, and there’s no closet or dresser in the room, plus no hooks for towels in either the bathroom or the bedroom.

Thaís was super helpful when we arrived and stayed responsive whenever we needed anything. The breakfast was simple, honest and fresh, and they changed the linens and towels every day. The downside is that the inn isn’t actually in Caraíva proper; it sits in Nova Caraíva, so reaching the old town’s restaurants and nightlife means a 20‑minute walk on a rough road, and taxis stop running at 5 p.m.
