“Lovely staff, good place to stay but some issues with soundproofing”
Lovely staff who couldn't be more helpful moved us to a different room that was much better, and the friendly, welcoming service at every meal, great food, and nice bedroom decor made the stay enjoyable; however, the soundproofing in the bedrooms is not great—outside noise and plumbing sounds from other rooms kept me awake, which is a problem for someone as noise‑sensitive as I am.
The location was good, but the place needed a revamp.

This place is a beautiful place to stay; after a 2‑night visit I found it lovely, peaceful, and all the staff amazingly friendly; the breakfast and evening meals were fantastic 10/10, and I wish we had more time—coming from Surrey, I’ll be visiting Yorkshire again and this will be my go‑to spot.
