In the centre with parking. The pool should be closed and renovated. Air conditioning is mobile, in the room.

The location is superb, central, just 3 minutes from anything, with secure parking – the parking attendant was extremely kind. The bed was comfortable and the evening was quiet, though we could see the side of the building. The bathrooms need a full overhaul: they’re old, have cheap plastic accessories, rusty leaks, a cheap glass shower screen, plastic curtain and bar, no towels, and the hot water pressure is lacking on the 3rd floor in the morning. The shower gel and shampoo are 3 lei per litre. The pipes beside the toilet had dry urine stains. The carpet and furniture look like they’re about 30 years old. In the room I stayed, the TV was on the front of a broken drawer, the blinds were crooked and seemed like they might fall off the wall, the interior doors were old and peeling, and there was a smell of old soap or spray. A few minor repairs would make it look more elegant, like it once did. Nothing justifies a 4‑star rating. I wanted to leave after the first night, but the stay was paid. The breakfast was varied but still low quality; the juices were watery, vegetables were scarce, the eggs were raw, and the omelette was too dry. Service was poor – the tables were cleared late or not at all, so those who arrived later had nowhere to sit; the staff were dressed like kitchen or cleaning crew. There are better, more modern places that meet 4‑star standards in Sibiu. Unfortunately they were fully booked when I booked. It clearly shows no investment has been made in the property for a long time. Two and a half stars would be fair, given the location, comfortable bed, and the fact that it’s a historic building.

The hotel makes a very positive first impression. The entrance area is especially attractive and welcoming. The rooms were spotless, but the furnishings, especially the windows and bathroom, are clearly dated and could use updating.

Classic hotel, clean, well‑structured and managed impeccably.
