I'm still trying to wrap my head around how I got scammed by a fake hotel in Manila. The address didn't exist, and I ended up with a huge headache after a long trip. Luckily, I was able to get in touch with the booking platform, and they were super helpful in trying to find me a new place to stay. Unfortunately, the alternatives weren't great, but at least I'm getting my money back.
I was really looking forward to a relaxing stay at this hotel, but things started to go downhill from the moment I tried to check in. It turned out the booking I made was fake, and I couldn't access the property. I was left scrambling to find another hotel at 10 pm, and to make matters worse, the booking website and contact number were completely unhelpful. They just told me I could cancel, which I guess was a nice gesture, but they still managed to charge me for the accommodation anyway.
