The bed was comfortable, clean, and warm. The check‑in was a bit confusing; when I left the hotel, the gentleman didn’t know whether I had paid or not. With technology it’s easy to look up the ID and see if the stay has been paid, or to jot it down in a notebook with name, ID number, amount, date, and signature.

The staff were very helpful, the facilities were clean and well lit, the area is safe, and public transport is easily accessible.

Reception was incredibly helpful and the hotel sits just four blocks from Plaza Bolívar, with spacious rooms and a hot‑water bathroom, but street noise was loud and cigarette smell drifted in from nearby shops, the bathroom lacks ventilation, and a partnership with a nearby parking lot would be a cheaper option for guests.

There’s no breakfast service, but the location is fine. The worst part hygienically was the towels—they were poorly presented, all unrolled, which looks bad for a hotel. Also, Tunja is very cold, and the bed only had a blanket and a thin mattress cover; any movement leaves you exposed.
