The Hotel garni Godenhof, located in Wanderup, offers quiet, countryside accommodations. Colourfully decorated rooms feature traditional wooden furniture and rich wall panelling, with private bathrooms. A rustic-style restaurant serves a full buffet breakfast. The hotel is ideal for hiking, cycling, and canoeing, with on-site dog care and free parking, 20 minutes from Flensburg and 30 minutes from Husum.

Positives: Parking available. Negatives: The location is very remote, the surroundings are unappealing. There are several wind turbines in front of and beside the hotel that produce loud noises, making it impossible to sleep with the windows open. The room has the charm of the 70s, a metal bed that creaked terribly, and a sagging mattress. The room smelled very unpleasant. The worst was the dirty carpet in our room. The hotel can’t blame guests for “sweeping around,” but at least an attempt should be made to clean it reasonably well, which was impossible. The hotel gives a generally gloomy and dark impression, with hunting trophies hanging and standing everywhere. We absolutely cannot recommend the hotel. We did not notice the particular friendliness that many reviews mention.
