The terrace is great.
The location by the ghat is ideally situated. The owners are charming and were very helpful during my stay. The cleanliness was lacking.
“Horrible!”
We were given a ground‑floor room, which turned out to be chaotic because the owner constantly shouted about his family’s achievements, claiming they were doctors, MBAs, and always traveled by flight. We wanted a quiet room for a good night’s sleep, but the owner insisted we stay on the ground floor, saying it would be too noisy upstairs, and then assigned us the same floor. We could barely sleep and asked for a different room, but he suggested using cotton buds to block the noise. He also told us to leave at 9:30 AM even though our reservation ran until 11 AM. He claimed he always keeps rooms neat, but the room was cold, damp, dusty, and lacked basic toiletries like towels, soap, and toothpaste. This bitter experience ruined our trip to Mathura. He also suggested booking a villa next time to avoid noise and implied we should just accept the disturbances as part of what we paid for. Pathetic—never recommend this place.
Cleanliness is very good. Everything else is good.
