“En svært hyggelig opplevelse”

We were warmly welcomed at Skotten Seter, a very charming and homely place with a lovely location. The hosts were personal and very friendly, and the breakfast featured homemade specialties. We’ll definitely return and highly recommend it. We had our morning coffee before breakfast on the lawn, overlooking a friendly mountain landscape, and that’s recommended :) No negatives to add.

I’m warning people about this inn! The place double‑charged us. The reservation clearly listed 2 adults and 2 children, and we paid that amount. When we checked out, they put us behind a wall and forced us to pay again for the kids. It’s just a last‑minute scam, pulling extra fees on guests. The staff behaved unprofessionally and showed no respect. We managed to recover the money thanks to booking’s intervention, which we appreciate since the hotel refused the claim. We also notified the Norwegian Consumer Council (Forbrukerrådet).

“Wir kommen gerne wieder”

The property sits pretty isolated amid beautiful scenery and can only be reached via a toll nature road, which gives you peace. We were warmly welcomed by the owner and her daughter, so we felt right at home immediately. The rooms are basic but functional and clean. Dinner was freshly made and tasty. Because we were the only guests, we didn’t expect a small breakfast buffet the next morning, but it was there with homemade bread and everything we could wish for—perfect. The only downside is there’s only one shared bathroom; we didn’t notice any issues since we were alone, but I can’t say how it would be with all rooms occupied.

The service was very nice! The lake and forest nearby are beautiful. Everything else was great.

The staff were very friendly. They made sure we had everything we needed. The food was excellent and the atmosphere relaxed.
