The exterior, the architecture, and the calm vibe were nice, but the service fell short of what a five‑star hotel should offer, especially given the nightly rate. The property itself is stunning, yet the overall experience was frustrating and disappointing. When we arrived, nobody greeted us or told us how to find the reception, which was confusing because you can’t drive into the hotel. The reception door stayed locked, so we had to knock and wait for someone to answer whenever we needed help. The food was mediocre, about a 6 out of 10, and the pool didn’t look very clean. Several advertised amenities were missing even though the hotel wasn’t full. Service was slow at times—we waited roughly 20 minutes just for a Coca‑Cola. The building looks great, but the service and guest experience need a lot of work to justify the five‑star rating and price.

The outdoor area for breakfast and evening meals was great, beautifully lit against the historic hotel’s backdrop, and there was nothing negative.
