“Niestety, nie polecam.”
The quiet spot at the far end of Białogóra, close to the sea, is perfect for walkers, and the cottage comes with its own little plot, a terrace, a table and parking, plus a washing machine despite its modest size. Communication was terrible after I prepaid everything—no confirmation, no check‑in instructions, no contact number despite my requests, just a vague “yes” when I asked if the money arrived; the owner vanished after that. From the outside the house looks fine, but up close it feels like a typical Polish “let‑down”: the front gate can’t be locked, most doors have defects, the front door can be forced open unless you use the key, the bathroom sliding doors rattle and seem unsafe, the upper‑bedroom drawer handles stay stuck, kitchen drawers are heavy or won’t close, the fridge door is as stubborn as a bunker hatch, and the dishwasher only had two detergent pods for a five‑day stay. There were no cleaning cloths or paper towels, the coffee machine needed descaling, and we were told to leave trash by the gate because “someone takes it daily,” yet nothing was ever collected. The stairs to the upper floor are narrow and steep, so I wouldn’t recommend them for anyone with mobility issues or who likes to wander at night. I can’t see why the property wasn’t prepared before the season. The village itself is quiet and not overrun with tourists or shops, but I wouldn’t stay here again.
