The décor, with historic furniture and paintings in the bedroom and living room, was a dream. The French breakfast in the salon was good. The host was very attentive, multilingual, educated, and charming, and his wine was first‑class. The house is dedicated to the 16th‑century pharmacist and astrologer Nostradamus, giving it a special, slightly mysterious vibe, complemented by appropriate baroque music in the salon. It’s something you have to love! The historic site is unfortunately a bit under‑populated, lacking restaurants, and the large old park at the Aube should be reopened for the public.

The historical offset is delightful. Nothing else.

The location is good, but the building is old and smells musty.

I had a splendid time at Maison Aleteia. My room was quiet, spacious, and comfortable, and it offered excellent value for money. The owner, Richard, welcomed me warmly and was always ready to help with anything. He prepared a good breakfast each morning, including croissants, fresh baguettes, jams, coffee, and tea, and was always available to advise on local attractions. The hotel sits in an excellent location right in the heart of Alet les Bains, and although there’s no dedicated parking, I never had trouble finding convenient spots nearby. I also enjoyed spending several afternoons in the attractive walled garden. Alet les Bains is a historic and charming town that’s well worth visiting, and I’ll definitely return. Everything was fine.
