The hotel was very nice and the front desk was excellent, though it was a bit pricey, which I can understand because of the horse races and KU football. I was annoyed when the fire alarm went off, waking my grandbaby and scaring the dogs to death; I ended up staying outside in the rain until the alarm stopped.

I liked how the restaurant was available. I was assigned a handicap room with a very small bathroom, and everything kept falling into the sink, so they shouldn’t arbitrarily put people in handicap rooms. After staying two nights, the next morning I woke up to no coffee and it hadn’t been refilled, which was definitely a housekeeping slip.

The location and the restaurant were good. The bathrooms were small.

The place was very clean and well maintained, and the location was good. I don’t think it’s fair to charge for parking.

The staff were very friendly and communicative, and the lobby area was beautiful. The room was nice and updated. The check‑in system was down, so I couldn’t get into my room for a few hours; it wasn’t the staff’s fault—they tried to accommodate everyone—but it did put a damper on the stay.
