The house and grounds were nice, and the host was warm and helpful. The only hiccup was the gate entrance – a narrow, sloping alley that made parking a bit nerve‑wracking.

First time in Brazil with two kids, we drove from Montevideo and had no reviews to look at, but the hosts welcomed us like family, showing us the house and then stepping back. The place is comfy, secure, with a large patio and close to the beach, shops, and pharmacies. The only downside was a bout of stomach trouble on the night of 31/01, but the owner went out at 10 p.m. to get medication for us – that kind of care made all the difference.
