Breakfast was okay, which was the only contact point. There was no room service, the shower was a bit odd, and we were given the wrong room instead of one with a balcony.

Parking was available, the location was good and quiet. In the bathroom, a fan cover fell from the ceiling, the shower surround was loose and detached, and the room curtain had a large tear. The TV was poorly supplied; it seemed the switch to HD hadn’t been communicated in time, and guests were told no receivers could be bought, a claim that felt a bit unbelievable. The sheets were washed but still showed old stains, an unappealing sight. Neither room had a trash bin. The additional room booked had no heating in the bathroom, which was very bad. On the hallway floor, a rug was laid over a runner that was already wavy, posing a tripping hazard. Breakfast was a buffet with fresh cheese and cold cuts, a small plate of cucumber and tomato, hard-boiled eggs, orange juice, tea, butter, and a single type of bread roll on every table, along with coffee. There was no cereal, fruit, or yogurt, and no alternative bread offered. At checkout I received no written receipt, even when asked; each room had a receipt, but the one for my room incorrectly listed four breakfasts. The total matched the booking amount, so I didn’t pursue the issue further.

I’ll say this: the recent reviews here don’t match what we experienced. The hotel is old but rustic. The room was largely clean, the beds comfortable, and the heating worked flawlessly. Overall, we got exactly what we paid for. The owner was very friendly and the breakfast was sufficient. Everything needed was present, and each guest received two rolls. The restaurant is permanently closed, although that’s also listed online (maybe people should read carefully). Within 2 km there are several restaurants to choose from. The surroundings are lovely and inviting for hiking. On the downside, it’s a bit too far out of the way, and inside the hotel one should pay more attention to cleanliness (spider webs).
