All staff were friendly and helpful, everything was clean, the ocean view was breathtaking, it was an exotic paradisiacal place to relax, the lodge organized excursions, the food was tasty and the chef was open to menu changes, but order your meal on time because preparation takes a long time, though the food is still very good.

I stayed in a very pleasant, nature‑styled accommodation right in the middle of beautiful scenery, where absolute relaxation in silence was only interrupted by the sounds of passing animals and a distant fire. The terrace in front of the lodging offered a breathtaking view of the sea and sunset, the bed was comfortable, and every day we received clean, high‑quality towels plus two free PET bottles of water. The staff were incredibly kind and helpful, and beyond the hotel’s fence there was a lively fishing village whose residents gathered at night for drum‑driven dancing. The hotel does not serve alcohol, but the employees will always make you a great coffee and will wave over the bill. Renting a scooter is possible for $25 a day (highly recommended). After four days we felt as if we were leaving our family behind. Occasionally there were power outages that were not caused by the hotel. We would suggest adding more storage options in the rooms, such as clothing shelves.

“Endroit reposant mais isolé pouvant rendre difficile la bonne exploration de l’île.”

The food was good; the chef offered Pemba specialties, and the changu makange turned out to be the best dish of our stay in Tanzania. The view from the hotel of the sea and nature was amazing, and the room was pleasant. The Wi‑Fi does not work in the rooms, and the lights work poorly in the evening. The location is isolated with few options for independent travel, and the hotel’s beach access is very limited.

The property sits in front of a breathtaking view, and waking up to so much green and the sea feels incomparable. The services provided were excellent, with a friendly staff from the director to the gardener. The chef’s food was always delicious, and Alf will remain our favorite host forever. Good job 😊❤️

“Beautiful peaceful paradise, very remote”

The resort’s location is an absolute paradise, it’s very peaceful, and the rooms were beautifully decorated and perfectly clean. They gave free bottled drinking water. If you want to escape everything and recharge, this is the place to go! I wasn’t ready for just how remote it is. The town of Mkoani has very limited basic facilities (the only ATM they have wasn’t working), so you really need to bring everything you could need. The resort’s electricity could be off for several hours, and we found it unbearably hot in the rooms without air‑con. The Wi‑Fi was very unreliable.
