The hosts were incredibly friendly and welcoming – Ronaldo took great care of us. The room and facilities were clean, and the shared shower and bathroom were well lit and tidy. The food was good with large portions, exactly what we needed after a long hike, and the welcome drinks were great too! A small shop on site offered basics like water, soda, and snacks at reasonable prices. The location is great: a bit more isolated from other lodges and with a direct path onto the route back to Cabanconde. The swimming pool was clean and well maintained, and there were included facilities for hand‑washing and hanging clothes.

We spent an absolutely idyllic night at Sangalle Cielo Lodge! Ronaldo and Natalie were remarkably kind, providing an accueil like I had never experienced before (plus welcome drinks, and Ronaldo was always on hand for anything). The breakfast and dinner, at a very reasonable price, were excellent. The shared showers and bathrooms were clean and the water was hot. We enjoyed the pool, which was pleasantly warm in late September. The rooms were modest, which makes sense given the location, but we slept very well. The wifi works very well. I highly recommend this place!

The owner and his wife were very kind and accommodating. There is a relaxing pool area. Breakfast was tasty and plentiful, perfect for a day of hiking. The lodge accepts card (at 5% surcharge). The lodge is pretty basic, so do not expect a fancy hotel room

Proper – very friendly host (drink upon arrival) – cozy spots to rest after the hike – cool pool. Hard mattress – expensive for what you get, remains a very basic lodge (shared bathroom, no wind‑tight doors, …). Probably the best in town but feels a bit overpriced.
