The staff were amazing and the room super comfy; I had booked a double with en‑suite but was upgraded to the best room in the property. Everyone was helpful and made sure I got everything I wanted, so I’ll definitely return.

The venue is gorgeous with a lovely garden, roomy rooms, and nice furnishings. Shakira, our hostess, was fantastic—she coordinated a beautiful room décor (including flowers and prosecco) for my parents’ anniversary, so thanks a ton, Shakira! Water, coffee, and tea were available, and the showers had plenty of hot water. The rooms had wardrobes, and there was a TV in the living area even though we didn’t use it. The location is just a 10‑15 minute walk to the Grand Hotel, which is great. The beds were a bit firmer than usual, and in the kids’ bedroom a single large blanket was supplied instead of a duvet; the temperature dropped noticeably at night and the electric fireplace wasn’t working, but these were minor quibbles and overall we loved our stay, thank you.

I highly recommend this place to anyone seeking a peaceful, comfortable escape in Sri Lanka’s hill country!

A charming little cottage in a spot I love—Shakira was super helpful and a great host, and the place was spotless. I’d definitely book again; coming from England, it felt like my grandparents’ house.

The victorian style of the hotel. The staff was sweet and helpful. The breakfast was amazing. The room was too small. And the WORST BED I have ever tried to sleep on. We had travelled from Colombo in the rain (7hr drive). And we couldn't sleep at all even though we were so tired. It was so bad that we shifted ourselves to another room because we saw another room with open doors (no host in the hotel at night). Literally the worst beds ever. Bed Spring hurt our back so much that the pain didn't heal for the next 2 days
