“Ich war enttäuscht”

Cleanliness was probably fine. I had booked the room for someone else. On the day the room was booked, I was supposed to receive a mail with the code for the lockbox by noon, but that didn’t happen. The guest I booked for had to call later; the voicemail rang twice before someone returned the call – that was very frustrating! The guest also mentioned that there was no mirror over the sink, no toothbrush holder, no hair dryer, and no shower mat. That should be basic standard!

The room was too noisy; you could hear cars on the street, and it was right next to the communal kitchen. I would not recommend taking room 4.

“Alles was man braucht.”

Everything you need for a bike trip was provided, but the sheets were so heavily scented with chemical detergents, fabric softener or perfume beads that they felt unhygienic and triggered allergies.

We rode our bikes and found the place very cozy; we could lock our bicycles, the communal kitchen was well equipped, the beds were comfy, everything was clean, and check‑in via key box worked smoothly.

The communal kitchen was well equipped, the supermarket was within walking distance, and the pension sits almost on the Elbe bike path, which mattered to us. The value for money was great, everything was impeccably clean—except the stove in the kitchen. There were also restaurants in town. The key box made the arrival relaxed. We got a room facing the street, with windows that were tilted so it felt like a truck was passing by the bed. At night it was fortunately quiet and we were exhausted from cycling. If you’re sensitive to noise, pick a rear room if available. Still, I’d choose this room again for a stopover on the Elbe bike path.
