The vibe was really pleasant, the room was spacious and bright, and the bathroom was large; the service was excellent, but the hot water ran out too quickly.

After a long walk in the rain on the Caminho de Santiago de Compostela, we were greeted warmly by the staff, as if we’d arrived at their home; the showers were hot and the beds comfy, and although the hostel sits just outside downtown, we were close to a laundromat to dry our clothes and to an Indian/Kebab restaurant where we had a tasty dinner, so we’d return if we’re ever back in Ponte de Lima.

The man who checked us in was cheerful and accommodating, and when some guests asked for breakfast before 7 am the next day, it was arranged— we ate at 6:30 and left by 7; the hostel was clean and bright, and the wax stamp on our credentials was a nice bonus.
