The breakfast is simple but tasty, but I wanted to see some local TV in Cabo Verde and couldn’t because the TV didn’t work.

The location was good, but the staff were downright rude – no greetings or thank‑yous, and in the morning nobody answered our hellos. We had to hunt down employees in the kitchen, where they sat on crates, glued to their phones, just to get a cup of hot water, and no one smiled. When we asked for an omelette they said it wasn’t possible, yet another guest ordered fried eggs without issue, so an omelette should have been doable. The room safe didn’t work, the photos online didn’t match reality, the bathroom supplied only two small shower towels, the terrace was unusable with no chairs or table, the breakfast patio never opened or was prepared, and the breakfast itself was served with leftovers that had been sitting for days, a fruit salad left out for four days, and butter that tasted like oil at 9 am with no way to keep it chilled.

The staff are kind, the room is clean, and the breakfast buffet is varied, yet the hotel is a bit far from the Plateau—about 2 km, 30 minutes on foot.
