Loved how roomy the rooms were and the free access to St. Katherine’s fort. Watching sunrise from the beach was unforgettable, and the island’s seclusion was a big plus. The bar did get quiet after 9:30, though.

The private beach was lovely, but the rooms were dirty—hair everywhere in the bathroom and bedroom. The coffee machine was miscalibrated, so every cup was too strong. Nightstand lamp was broken and the clock didn’t adjust for daylight savings. We tried ordering a taxi 24 hours in advance, but it never came. The hotel didn’t help us get to the village. Many dishes were missing from the menu because they had a new one, which felt unfair.
