I keep coming back to this inn every year; the owners are wonderful people and chatting with other guests is a highlight. Bringing pets to the dining area is rare, so conversation never runs out. Even though everyone brings animals, the rooms are always spotless, letting us leave our kids (our house cats) in peace. They even tweaked the menu for a multi-night stay. The meals used local ingredients abundantly, delivering both taste and volume, leaving us full and satisfied on the way home (laughs). No complaints at all!

“露天風呂が素敵！”

I messed up by not checking payment options beforehand, but the owner was quick on his feet and it was a huge help! After a business trip to Hokkaido, I stayed one night and the 24‑hour outdoor hot spring let me fully recover, changing how tired I felt on the return journey. The dog run behind the pension was unusable due to rain, yet they still prepared homemade treats for our pup and gave the kids cute bear keychains—thoughtful gestures that warmed my heart.

I stayed on 21 June 2025. The place was clean. A very friendly lady host who spoke good English helped us arrange a later stay. We paid for half board and it was totally worth it: a 6‑course western dinner on the first night and Japanese shabu‑shabu with a full spread of sides on the second night. Breakfast was plentiful, too. The property is about a 40‑minute drive to Hachimantai Dragon Eye. It is pet‑friendly, and many guests brought well‑behaved dogs with them on the first night.

The food was tasty, but the building is old and a few small steps bother me.
