“Lovely stay, would return”
The breakfast was phenomenal, featuring locally sourced ingredients with their origins listed on the menu. The room was lovely, spacious, clean, and had a comfortable bed. Because the building is old, there was some noise from other guests, but it wasn’t bad. Street noise was absent, and we were facing the front of the hotel.

The owners are charming, the setting is lovely, and the breakfast is great—truly a joy in Ballater! There were no real negatives; everything was excellent.

The B&B is very comfortable, spotless, and quiet. The staff were welcoming, and the breakfasts were delicious, setting us up for the day.

We especially enjoyed the warm welcome and the fantastic breakfast in the winter garden. The room offered a view of the beautiful garden, was very cozy, impeccably clean, and fully equipped. Ballater thrives on its proximity to Balmoral Castle, and the town itself is easily reachable on foot and pleasant.

The Ballater area is wonderful, full of activities, and the hotel is within walking distance of town. Breakfast was delicious, and the woman running the service was lovely and friendly. The room was comfortable, with a particularly great bed. It was a shame that drinks or tea couldn’t be purchased, but the proximity to town made it a minor inconvenience. The décor feels a bit tired, and the bathroom could use a refresh, though that’s only surface level.
