The host was friendly and welcoming, the location was great and easy to access for what we needed, and the room didn't have a strong chemical smell from cleaning products. I appreciated the deer greeting us in the parking lot. The only downside was that the exterior door lacked a second lock or bolt, and I would have preferred a room without carpet.

I loved the local people and the dinner recommendations; the hotel is close to the river but away from the busiest part of town. The room was large and the shower was good. It would be even better if something were done with the empty lot next door, and the bed could be softer.

Scott was extremely helpful and pleasant throughout my stay, especially when I needed to change my reservation; I highly recommend him! There was nothing negative.

The highlight was meeting the owners, Scott and Linda, and feeling like we were part of a family rather than just a name on a booking. My husband and I were visiting our grandkids and felt at home in this motel, unlike other hotels where we felt like just another guest. My husband especially enjoyed the shower—its water pressure was amazing, almost like a massage every time. There was nothing we didn't like.
