Dinner & breakfast is excellent. Particularly love the cosy outdoor Onsen. The whole ryokan has very nice decor and very traditional Japanese style which we booked for the experience. The owners snd staff are very friendly and helpful. Give it two thumbs up. A particular carpet in public walkway kind of old and worn out. Would be nice if the owner update it

The onsen was very beautiful, especially the exterior, and the staff’s service was excellent; they even offered to take us to the train.

The bath was tiny, but the signature Gero onsen water was pleasant and the rice was really good. Staying on the second floor was a bit scary because the stairs were very steep.
