Ideal location for our stay, close to family and friends. Able to go with our dog, the barn was secure and quiet and with easy access for dog walking areas. Barn was small, as expected, but perfectly adequate for a couple of nights where we only really needed somewhere to lay our heads at night. Basic amenities of fridge, kettle, toaster (microwave that we didn't need on this occasion) which were adequate for sorting breakfasts. Grateful for a large cupboard/wardrobe where we were able to store our boxes we used to transport all our bits and pieces. Comfortable room, but full with two people and a labrador. Very clean, comfortable bed, adequate bedding and towels. Washing up facilities! We only used the 2 mugs, 2 side plates, 1 glass and some cutlery, so nothing large like dinner plates (thankfully!). There was washing up liquid provided but the only sink was in the toilet/shower room. Limited space obviously requires a small, shallow, slimline sink - okay to wash hands/face in, but not ideal for crockery! A small washing up bowl and tea towel would have really helped

The bed was comfy and the shower/bathroom looked newly refurbished. The village is beautiful and picturesque, and the area overall is lovely. The pub is currently closed, which makes it very quiet. If the pub were open, the micro barn might be a bit noisy since it’s next to the beer garden. A new table and chairs in the living area would improve things; these are the first things you see when you enter and they spoil the overall impression. This isn’t a complaint, just a genuine suggestion for improvement.

We stayed in a small barn that was set in a lovely village, which was really quiet and had everything we needed for a short break with our dogs. However, on our last morning, we ran out of hot water because the motorhomes in the adjacent field had used it all up, and we couldn't shower. The proximity to the pub's garden entrance might get noisy when it's busy, and it was a bit annoying that there was no soap in the bathroom. Overall, it was a nice spot, but a few things could be improved.

I loved the rural setting, but there were a few practical issues - the tiny sink and lack of plug made washing up a hassle, and there was only one cloth to clean up with. It would've been great to have some basic supplies like washing up liquid and a dish drying cloth. On the plus side, the walks to the nearby village were lovely, and the beer at the other pub was good, even if the pizza got a bit repetitive. It would've been nice to know the local pub was shut, but overall it was a nice stay.
